Here's why: concrete.blogs.com Thanks for voting for my design and spreading the word. For this talenthouse.com contest, comic book icon Stan Lee, the creator of Spider-Man and POW! Entertainment, has teamed up with comic legend, "Spawn" creator Todd McFarlane, and superstar DJ, "Laidback Luke", The goal of this contest is to create an original superhero costume for Laidback Luke to wear at his "Super You&Me" parties, where everyone dresses like a superhero. For my costume design I drew from classic examples of "Kung fu and robots", themes that Laidback Luke said he likes. I blended those elements with a superhero style, to create something unique. The logo on his chest/body, "LBL", stands for Laidback Luke. The "B" in the center is also made to look like a vertical classic superhero mask, in the spirit of everyone getting their inner superhero on for the "Super You & Me" party! Layout and art wise, I was inspired by golden age comics and the artists that drew them, so I did my best to freehand that look in tribute to them. Voting starts Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012.
